Privacy Policy
The Anomica privacy policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Anomica [LEGAL ENTITY NAME], registered at [REGISTERED ADDRESS], [COUNTRY OF INCORPORATION] ("Anomica," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects personal data when you visit our website or use the Anomica VPN service (together, the "Services"). We process personal data as a data controller in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation ("GDPR") and other applicable EU data protection law.
This Privacy Policy should be read together with our Terms & Conditions. If we make significant changes to this policy, we'll post an update here and note the revised date above.
The short version
We run a strict no-logs VPN. We don't collect, store, or have any way to see what you do online — no browsing history, no visited sites, no connection timestamps, no bandwidth or traffic data. The only personal data we collect is what's needed to create your account and process payment: your email address and payment details, handled by our payment processor. We use Google Analytics to understand website traffic and Mailchimp to send account and marketing emails. You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data at any time. You get a 7-day money-back guarantee and can connect up to 5 devices simultaneously under one subscription.
1. What personal data we collect
Account data. When you sign up for Anomica, we collect your email address. This is the only identifying information required to create and manage your account.
Payment data. Payments are handled by our third-party payment processor. We do not store your full card number or banking details ourselves — our processor collects and stores what's needed to complete and verify your transaction, such as transaction date, amount, and payment method details. Refer to your payment provider's own privacy policy for details on how they handle this data.
Website usage data. When you visit our website, Google Analytics collects standard aggregate usage data, such as pages viewed and general traffic patterns, to help us understand how the site is used. This is separate from your VPN activity and does not identify what you do while connected to our VPN.
Email communications. If you subscribe to updates or receive account-related emails, this is managed through Mailchimp, which processes your email address and email engagement data, such as opens and clicks, on our behalf.
2. What we do not collect
Anomica operates a strict no-logs policy. We do not collect, log, or store your browsing history or the websites you visit, your originating IP address once your VPN session ends, connection timestamps, session duration, or bandwidth used, or DNS queries and network traffic content. Because we don't collect this data in the first place, we have nothing related to your online activity to hand over — to anyone, under any circumstances.
3. Why we process your data
We process data under three legal bases. Contract: to create and maintain your account, deliver the VPN service, and process payments. Legitimate interest: to understand and improve website performance via aggregate analytics. Consent: where required, for marketing emails. You can unsubscribe at any time.
4. How long we keep your data
We retain your account email for as long as your account remains active. If you close your account, we delete your account data within [X days] unless we're legally required to retain it longer, for example for tax or accounting purposes related to a completed payment. Payment records are retained by our payment processor according to their own retention obligations.
5. Who we share data with
We do not sell your personal data. We share limited data only with the service providers necessary to run Anomica: our payment processor, to process and verify transactions; Google Analytics, for aggregate website usage insights; and Mailchimp, for account and marketing email delivery. We may also disclose data if legally required to do so under applicable law. Though as noted above, we have no activity logs to disclose even in that case.
6. International data transfers
As an EU/GDPR-incorporated company, personal data is primarily processed within the European Economic Area. Where a service provider, such as Google or Mailchimp, processes data outside the EEA, that transfer is governed by appropriate safeguards, such as Standard Contractual Clauses.
7. Your rights
Under GDPR, you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, correct inaccurate data, request deletion of your data, object to or restrict certain processing, request a copy of your data in a portable format, and lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at [PRIVACY EMAIL].
8. Cookies
Our website uses essential cookies to keep the site functioning securely, and analytics cookies via Google Analytics to help us understand site usage. You can manage cookie preferences through your browser settings.
9. Security
We use industry-standard encryption and security practices to protect the limited data we do hold. Because we don't log online activity, there's no browsing data to expose even in the unlikely event of a breach.
10. Children's data
Anomica's Services are not directed at, or intended for, anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
11. Refunds and account terms
Anomica offers a 7-day money-back guarantee from the date of purchase. Subscriptions support up to 5 simultaneous device connections. See our Terms & Conditions for full details.
12. Contact us
